the secret weapon behind vocal edm, the glue between dj/producer and vocalist.

Matthew Steeper, a production and songwriting titan, is not just Grammy-nominated (Illenium's Fallen Embers) and a platinum producer (Slander's "Love Is Gone Acoustic") – he's also a music industry legend with a discography that's achieved over 1.5 billion streams. As the force behind more of the who’s who of melodic EDM than you can keep up with, he’s produced and written some of the biggest songs for artists like Slander (Walk On Water, Wish I Could Forget), Tritonal (Long Way Home), Seven Lions (Horizon, Don’t Wanna Fall), Gareth Emery (Saving Light),  Armin Van Buuren and more. In addition to his extensive credit list, he’s also produced one of Splice’s most successful vocal sample packs (KARRA vocal sample pack 1 and 2). It’s undeniable that Steeper has become one of the most pivotal forces in dance music you’ve never heard of.

You’ll find him in the studio with the industry’s biggest singer-songwriters (Dylan Matthew, RØRY, KARRA, JT Roach, Kaleena Zanders, Eric Lumiere, Monika Santucci, Fiora, Linney and more) and  DJing the biggest major international festivals on the weekends as the unnamed second half of HALIENE’s live act.

Growing up in eastern Europe, Matt cut his teeth in electronic music at 90s street parties and underground euro discos. But he wouldn’t pursue music as a career until a near-death experience in Peru had him ditch his med school plans to finally develop his natural talents at Berklee College of Music.

As co-founder with HALIENE of boutique production and publishing company, Golden Thread Music, Matt has his hand in the development of new artists as well, such as AMIDY and Monika Santucci, and just launched a renowned vocal production master class with DAW Nation.
